The Olympic Agora

Ancient Greek towns had an ‘agora’ – a vibrant public space where people gathered to eat, drink, sing, buy, sell, exchange ideas and revel in urban life. Developed for the first time for Tokyo 2020, the ‘Olympic Agoras’ programme brings to life the interconnections between sport and culture, inviting fans to explore timeless Olympic ideals and the far-reaching cultural and social impact of the Olympic Games. These six paintings were featured  as a part of a special installation blending the tradition of japaneese Noren curtain design with the power of sport and creativity.
